Obituary of Judy E. Emo

Please share a memory of Judy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
BATH: Judy E. Emo, 63, of Fort Hill Rd. passed away unexpectedly Friday (March 16, 2012) at her home. Judy was born November 9, 1948 in Hornell the only child of Joseph and June (Dougherty) Zielazinski, who predeceased her in 2006 and 1982 respectfully. She was a graduate of Avoca Central School class of 1966 and latter earned an Associate's Degree at Alfred State College as a Lab Technician. She had worked at St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell and also the Jewish Hospital in Rhode Island. After her career as a lab technician she worked as a book keeper for J.P. Emo Trucking, Inc. of Canisteo. Judy had a passion for living her life to the fullest and took great pride in everything she did. She has a personality that made everyone comfortable in her presence and she could converse easily with anyone regardless of who they were. At her best, her entertaining, cooking, decorating and gardening repertoire was unmatched. Judy enjoyed conversing about anything thought provoking and was well read on a variety of topics. She raised her two children Ryan and Stacia with her passion for life, many times putting her own interests on hold to fully embrace their endeavors. From showing cattle and horses to wrestling and dirt bike racing, Judy supported all with her own flair and style. Perhaps the passion that really defined Judy was her home. She spent hours tending the yard and gardens including a large vegetable garden and an herb garden. Judy was known to have a Christmas tree in every room at Christmas time and her holiday gatherings were memorable and enjoyable for many. Judy enjoyed cooking, and it brought many guests back to her home time and again. In recent years the love of her life was her grandchildren. In Grandma Judy's eyes these were truly kids who could do no wrong and the love was fully reciprocated. The kids always enjoyed Grandma Judy's Halloween parties. She will be missed. Judy is survived by her two children: Ryan (Theresa) Emo of Bath and Stacia (Jeffrey) True of Perry. She is also survived by her five grand children: Tucker, Taryn and Trenten True, Brina Maloney and Carissa Emo. At Judy's request there will be no prior calling hrs. or service. Family and friends are invited to an informal gathering in celebration of her life Saturday, March 24, from 2-5 PM at her home at 6235 Fort Hill Rd. in the town of Bath. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Visitation: Saturday, March 24, 2012 2-5 PM 6235 Fort Hill Rd. Bath, N.Y.
