Obituary of Rosalie Y. Twist

Rosalie Y. Twist, 73, of Founders Pavilion, Corning, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Founders Pavilion. Rose was born in Woodhull, NY on February 14, 1939, the daughter of William Henry and Florence E. Rude Lowrey. She was a longtime resident of Houston, Texas where she was a beautician. She operated a hair salon there for many years. Rose loved animals, particularly having horses and dogs as pets. She had at one time attended the Christian Hope Center in Painted Post. Besides her parents predeceasing her, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Lowrey in 1982. Surviving are her son, Ronald Twist of Texas, her grandchildren, Angie (Nick) Braselman of High Falls, NY and Ryan Twist of New Jersey, 2 great grandchildren, her niece, Teresa (John) Goshleski of Painted Post, her nephew, Robin (Joanne) Lowrey of Corning, her uncles, Frederick Rude of Lapeer, MI and Murray Rude of Painted Post, her aunts, Ethel Wood of Painted Post and Jackie Schmidt of Venice, FL and other nieces and nephews, Kip (Meredith) Lowrey, Monte (Lisa) Lowrey, Terri Lowrey, Kevin Lowrey and Shawn Lowrey as well as several cousins. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 29 at 4:00 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Troupsburg, NY.
