I met Mary when I was the Nurse Educator at Noyes. After I left to purse NP, we stayed in touch and would have lunch frequently at different places in Dansville, Hornell and Alfred. She was a wonderful friend to me and many others and will be greatly missed. Pam Jones

Most of my career as a Medical Technologist was spent alongside Mary, QOS Stewart. I followed her from St James to Noyes. Mary was an integral part of setting up our NCCLS-accredited Phlebotomy program and prepared my lectures very well. In addition, she worked in Microbiology and as a supervisor in the lab before taking on her Infection Control tasks. Our paths crossed many years before I met her, from the family's brief life in Westfield, PA. She is responsible for homing two dogs from Polly's house and a cat from the farm with my family. Our lab family will not be quite the same without her smile and distinctive laugh, and her visits. Fly high, my friend!

Mary was a dear, sweet friend for 63 years even though separated by distance after high school. We shared so much laughter & a few adventures. One adventure was our holiday on St Maarten. We drove around the island & ended up atop a hill with a spectacular view. One of my favorite pictures of her was taken there. It is attached. I will miss hearing her laughter & stories about her beloved cats. I saw her on Labor Day weekend & her spirits were good. I never thought it would be the last time I saw her. I am heartbroken. She was always so good to all of us Satterfield kids. And will be remembered fondly as Grandma Mary. Our condolences to the Stewart family.
