Phyllis J. Hurlburt, 85, a resident of the Green Home in Wellsboro, PA and formerly of Westfield, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Green Home.
Born in Farmington Township, PA on March 3, 1935, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn Sticklin Manning. She was a 1954 graduate of Elkland High School.
On May 7, 1966 she married Juddie S. Hurlburt Jr. who preceded her in death on February 5, 2009.
Phyllis was a homemaker and self employed housekeeper. She was a member of the United Church of Nelson. She and Juddie were former members of the Elkland Moose Lodge and Farmington Grange.
Surviving are her daughters and sons in law, Sheila and Chuck Tucker of Weaverville, NC and Kathy and Thomas Bigstaff of Mount Sterling, KY, her grandchildren, Samuel Tucker (Kayla Marple) of Asheboro, NC, Shailyn Boles (Dillon) of Asheville, NC, Kaylee Pielow (Dakota), Justice Hurlburt of Greenwood, NY and Nikkilyn Smith of Mount Sterling, KY, 2 great grandchildren, her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Kinsman of Albuquerque, NM and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband Juddie, Phyllis was predeceased by her brother, Lewis Manning and her sister, Mary Lou Hatfield.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Middlebury Union Cemetery, Keeneyville, PA.
