Priscilla A. (Peters) Kilmer, 95, a longtime resident of Homer and Cortland, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
She was born in Woodhull, NY on June 23, 1926, and was the youngest of six children born to Earl and Mary (Foulke) Peters.
She was a 1944 graduate of Woodhull High School. The family settled in Homer in 1959. Priscilla was employed at SUNY Cortland, Auxiliary Services for 35 years, retiring in 2003.
Priscilla was predeceased by her husband, Dorr L. Kilmer, in 2009. She is survived by her children, son, David (Judy) Kilmer of Leesburg, Florida; daughter, Sue (Steven) Phelps of Cortland; daughter, Sheila (Mark) Aldrich of Thomasville, North Carolina; and Robert (Denise) Kilmer of New Boston, New Hampshire. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, sister in law Norine Symonds of Addison, NY, and 20 year neighbor Susie Congdon.
The funeral arrangements are being made through H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull, NY. There will be a brief service at the chapel in Woodhull Cemetery at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Burial will be at Woodhull Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy in memory of Pricilla may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
