Obituary of Henry D. Hulbert

Henry D. Hulbert, 90, of Troupsburg, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Absolut Care of Three Rivers in Painted Post, NY.
He was born on the family farm in Troupsburg on December 11, 1934 to Raymond and Gladys (Thomas) Hulbert. He was a graduate of Troupsburg Central School.
On June 26, 1954, he married Millie (Ives) Hulbert in Yorks Corners Mennonite Church in Yorks Corners, NY. Millie survives. Henry was a member of the Troupsburg Baptist Church and the Woodhull Senior Citizens.
He was employed by many including Keith Paddock and Son Trucking in Jasper and Whitesville Poultry. In retirement, Henry took up woodworking and he and Millie traveled throughout New York and Pennsylvania to set up displays at craft shows. They developed many friendships while attending these shows.
Surviving besides, Millie, his wife of 70 years are three children, Jane (Rob) Ficiur of Alberta, Canada, Karen (Michael) Smith of Whitesville, NY and Dan (Colene) Hulbert of Arkport, grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Cochran, Andrew (Danielle) Hulbert, Jared (Taylor) Ficiur, Brett (AJ) Ficiur, Michael Smith, Brian (Robyn) Ficiur, Amy Hall (Tylor), Spencer (Caron) Ficiur, Holly (Trevor) Laurie, Aaron (Kim) Hulbert, and Tyler Ficiur, 20 great grandchildren, sister, Dora Hulbert, sisters-in-law, Ann Hulbert and Darlene Hulbert, brothers-in-law, Orlo Ives, Nathan Ives and Donald (Jeannie) Ives and several Hulbert nieces and nephews.
Henry was predeceased by his parents, in-laws, Orlo and Lucy Ives, siblings, Joyce (Jr) Burdick, Donald Hulbert and J. Elliott Hulbert, a great grandson, sisters and brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call on Saturday, February 8 from noon to 2 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow there at 2 pm with Matt Sherman officiating. Burial will be in Chenango Cemetery, East Troupsburg.
Memorial donations are suggested for either the Troupsburg Baptist Church or the Greenwood Fire Dept. Ambulance.
