Cheryl J. “Cheri” Bartlett, 75, of Cty. Rte. 21, Addison, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, February 7, 2925. Cheri was born in Barton, NY on July 19, 1949, the daughter of Emery and Ann Carr Skinkle. Cheri was raised in Elmira and attended school there. Cheri worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant most of her adult life. She was employed at Elcor Nursing Facility in Horseheads and later worked at Founders Pavilion in Corning. At the end of a career in nursing over nearly 30 years, Cheri was employed as a home health aide by Homemaker Services in Corning. She was the wife of George Bouton who recently preceded her in death on December 17, 2024. They had made their home together in Hedgesville. Surviving are her daughters, Lori Enderle of Beaver Dams and Lisa (Mark) Searfoss of Corning. Cheri found the boy she always wanted in Troy who she affectionately referred to as her “baby boy” Troy (Natasha) Bouton of Cameron Mills, and daughter Tracy (Derek) Stock of Jasper.Cheri had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several siblings. We have an angel watching over us. She is my mom. To my mom in heaven, thank you for always loving us. There will be no public services. Cheri and George will be laid to rest together in Woodhull Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull.
