Please share a memory of Anne Francis (Annie) to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anne Francis (Annie) Mignone, 60, of San Diego, California, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Annie was born in Long Island, NY to Francis and Mary Mignone on April 28, 1964. Annie spent most of her life living in Hornell. Annie was a loving daughter and oldest sister to 7 younger siblings.
Annie was a very special soul who had a smile and spirit like no other, along with an ability to show unconditional love to everyone who took the time to know her. Annie was an excellent listener, teaching others with kindness and grace. Annie was generous and always gave more than she received. Annie’s compassion and sense of justice made everyone who knew her a better person. Annie joyfully lived her life fully in the present and enjoyed the simple pleasures. Annie loved Jesus, her babies (especially “Bald Eagle” and “Yellow Feather”), time with her family and friends, crafting, listening to and playing music, playing cards and board games, laughing, decorating for and celebrating the holidays, recycling/upcycling, and collecting dreamcatchers and Smurfs.
Annie is survived by her mother, Mary Mignone of San Diego, Ca; her siblings and their spouses, children/grandchildren: Marie Jean-Guillaume (Reece and Sasha); Lisa and John Zelinski (Joshua-Madelyn, Anthony-Nalia, Alexandra, Evan, and Josiah); Daria and Jeremy Stone (Jake, Juliette, and Jesse); Joseph Mignone (Hailey-Darren/Nevaeh and Nora Fisher, Max, and Amelia); Catherine and Justin Jaycox (Annabelle, Stella, and Vera); Genevieve and Ed Bartholomew (Regina and Aurora).
She is also survived by her step-mother Elizabeth Mignone of Winter Park, Florida. She is preceded in death by her father, Francis Mignone and her brother, John Mignone.
Annie will be deeply missed as we find comfort knowing that she is a light that shines bright in the kingdom of God. The Prayer of St. Francis can be prayed in honor of all that she embodied.
Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi (Prayer for Peace)
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
A celebration of her life will be held in San Diego, Ca.
Donations in Annie's honor may be made to the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association, 1032 E Brandon Blvd #4744, Brandon, FL 33511.
