Obituary of Sherry L. Spencer

Sherry L. Spencer, 74, of Lindley, formerly of Pine City, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Bampa’s House in Corning. Born in Elmira on January 17, 1951, Sherry was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Barbara Kelley Spencer. Raised in Elmira, she was a 1969 graduate of Elmira Southside High School. Sherry had a love for dogs, reflected in her working for over 30 years in the grooming business employed at Kim Barber’s Dog Grooming in Elmira. She also raised and showed Tibetan Spaniels for many years. She was a member of the Elmira Kennel Club. Sherry had been an active league bowler as well. Surviving are her siblings and their spouses, Craig and Mary Lou Spencer of Horseheads, Steven and Melody Spencer of Horseheads, Brian and Luanne Spencer of Clark Summit, PA and Suzanne and Roger Boyer of Lindley. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Following Sherry’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Donations in Sherry’s memory are suggested for Bampa’s House, 170 E. 1st St. Corning, NY 14830. Arrangements are being handled by the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull, NY.
