Obituary of Karen A. Mullen

Karen A. Mullen, 71, of Loomis Road, Rexville, NY, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester,
Karen was born in North Hornell, NY on August 30, 1953 the daughter of the late Wilson and Margaret Scott Woodworth. She was a graduate of Greenwood Central School.
Karen enjoyed her many years working as a bartender at the Greenwood Hotel and the Greenwood American Legion. She later spent several years at the Whitesville House in Whitesville. Following their closing, she was employed for 3 years at the Wellsville Manor Nursing Facility in Wellsville before retiring.
She loved tending to her flower gardens at home but especially treasured time with her beloved grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her lifetime partner, Julius Cerrillo of Rexville, her children, Shannon (Ken) Quick of Cameron Mills, Shaun Mullen of Hornell and Breann (Kris) Axtell of Bath, her grandchildren, Hunter Quick (Sean Noterfonzo), Luna Axtell and Hendrix Axtell, her siblings, Larry (Sharon) Woodworth of Mt. Morris, Jerry (Brenda) Woodworth of Greenwood and Lisa (Mike) Mallaber of Livonia, Julius’ siblings, Eugenia Freberg, Jeremy (Teresa) Cerrillo and Derek Cerrillo along with many nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Wilson Woodworth, her mother and step father, Margaret and Don Chace and by her granddaughter, Amber Rae Quick.
Friends may call on Wednesday, May 7th from 11 am to 2 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 29 E. Main St. Canisteo, NY. Funeral services will follow there at 2 pm with Karen Hamilton officiating. Burial will be made in Greenwood Cemetery.
Arrangements are in care of H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home in Canisteo.
