Obituary of Oscar A. Aldrich

Please share a memory of Oscar to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Oscar A. Aldrich,58, born March 5th, 1967 of Woodhull NY succumbed to a monthly long battle of illnesses on May 20th, 2025 at Robert Packer Hospital. Oscar was a hard-working man with many skills and talents. He started his life working on the family farm and worked his way up to a very experienced and masterful Operator for IUOE 158 and a Pipeline Foreman/Superintendent for 37 years. When Oscar wasn't working, he was at home enjoying his life-long legacy. He loved to fish, hunt, tinker and most importantly spend time with his family. There's not one project he didn't help shape and mold. He touched the lives of so many and those who had the privilege of knowing him and being influenced by him are the lucky ones. Oscar leaves behind his sons, Andrew Aldrich of Wellsboro PA, Allen Aldrich (Miranda VanNess) of Woodhull NY, Justin Aldrich of Woodhull NY; grandson, Ryker Aldrich; mother, Dorothy (Bob) Streeter of Greenwood NY; brother, Brian (Amy) Aldrich of Woodhull NY; sisters, Valerie (TR) Owens of Hedgesville NY, Dawn Irvine of Woodhull NY; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Oscar D. Aldrich. Oscar was a private man. Following his wishes there will be no services held. Instead, a Celebration of Life for all those who were close to him, and loved him at a later date. Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Inc., Funeral Home, Woodhull NY.
