Obituary of Michael F. Sullivan

Michael F. Sullivan, 63, of Cty. Rte. 21, Addison, passed away from a sudden medical event at his home on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Mike was born in Elmira, NY on April 8, 1962, the son of the late Glenn F. and Joyce Smith Sullivan. He was raised in the Addison area. Mike married the love of his life, Ronda Houghtalen Culbertson on August 5, 2017 in Addison. They have been partners for 39 years. Mike was a long-time employee of Towner’s Tree Farm in Addison. He was also a talented, self taught mechanic and handyman. He felt a need to always be moving, a trait displayed in the restoration and continual maintenance of his beloved 1966 Chevy Impala that Mike and both his sons were involved in. He took great pride in this possession as well as pride and love for his boys for their dedication to their Dad and his dream car. Mike was even more prideful of his children and family. He was a wonderful, loving husband, dad and grandpa. Mike is survived by his wife, Ronda Sullivan at home, his children, April Culbertson of Bath, Shawn Sullivan (Becky McIntyre) of Rathbone, Nichole (Nicolas) Marquez of Tewksbury, MA and Michael Sullivan of Addison, his grandchildren, Jayden Travis, Ohrin Scott, Akiyha Scott, Shawn Sullivan Jr. and Ayden Sullivan, his siblings, Jeannette (Randy) O’Konski) of Addison, Dennis (Kelly)Sullivan of North Carolina, Glenn Sullivan (Mona) of Addison and Eloise (Andy) Gorges of Addison along with several nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Joyce Sullivan and his son, Shane Michael Sullivan. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24 from 1 to 3 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY.
