Obituary of Claudette D. Buman
Please share a memory of Claudette to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Claudette D. Buman, 69, of Atlanta NY, passed away suddenly at a friends home in Rochester on June 3, 2025.
Born May 15, 1956, to the late George and Ida Irma (Baker) Willis, Claudette was known for her love of crafting, crochet and singing. She was a loyal servant of God and took comfort in his words and prayers. She loved and enjoyed being a part of the church and congregation.
Claudette was always very stubborn and strong-willed but still managed to find positive goals and achievements to keep hope for the future. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace. Her kindness, love and unwavering spirit will forever be in the memories of those who knew her. We only truly understand death after it has placed its hands on someone we love. We chose not to lose our mother, but to gain an angel. In our hearts, minds and lives, she is still completely present to this day - as compassionate and stubborn as ever. We know for certain that we never truly lose the people we love, even in death. She continues to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Her life leaves an imprint in our memories, and we take comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by sharing her love.
Surviving Claudette is her daughters, Charlene Purcell of Charleston, SC, Kimberly McCollum (Brian Foulds) of Coal Township PA, Rebekah Hayes (Leonard Waggoner) of Atlanta, NY, Susan Braley (Kyle Williams) of Hornell, NY; grandchildren, Andrew, Trevor, Dylan, Ethan, Noah, Zachery, Domanic, Gracie, Madelyn, Tylor, Austin, Vincent, Chantel, Treah, David, Ethan, Ruby; brothers, Michael Reese, Mathew Willis, Nathan, Willis; sister, Anna Guion.
