Obituary of Dave Cronk

Kenneth David Cronk, 84, of Woodhull, died on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 near his home as the result of an automobile accident. Born in Olean, NY on April 15, 1941, Dave was the son of the late Clarence and Emily Blodgett Cronk. He was a graduate of Woodhull High School. On March 20, 1960, Dave and the former Della A. Campbell were married at the First Baptist Church of Woodhull. Della survives. As a young man, Dave worked briefly for the Ingersoll Rand Co. in Painted Post. He eventually became involved with the operation of the family dairy farm in Woodhull. He managed the farm for many years prior to his retirement. Dave was an avid deer hunter where deer season on the farm was an annual event involving many, many family members and close friends. Dave was a very loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. Surviving Dave is his wife of 65 years, Della Cronk at home, his children and their spouses, Mark and Barb Cronk of Addison, Laura and Andy Learn of Cameron Mills and Jim and Bonnie Cronk of Woodhull, his grandchildren, Chris Taft, Mindy Brush, Cheryl Shaut, Hope Cronk, Krysta Cronk (Brett Willis), Mike Lute and Scott Lute, great grandchildren, Miles Brush, Faith Cronk, Mia Willis, Brandon Willis and Carter Willis along with many nieces and nephews. Besides Dave’s parents, Clarence and Emily Cronk, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Brooks, William Cronk, Betty Whitehead, Carl Cronk and Erma Hibbard. Friends may call at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY on Wednesday, June 25 from 1 to 3 pm with a memorial service immediately following at 3 pm with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating.
