Great guy. He and Norma were some of the first people we became friends with when we moved to Addison. We were roaming around getting to know our community when we came across them trying to get their wayward horses back in their pasture. As a farm boy, I knew a thing or two about herding, so I gave assistance. Once the horses were back in their yard, John shook my hand and said: " I don't know who you are, but I know you grew up on a farm!". Greetings were then exchanged, followed by Norma's invitation for dinner. Great conversation ensued. Of couse, we left with a basket full of Norma's culinary delights. Thus began a long friendship.

John was very generous to our family, he gave my step dad a job in his machine shop, Cranco Products, he even sent him to school for it. We also bought a pony, Brandy, from the Crane’s & had so much fun with him as kids.
