REXVILLE: Earl F. Parker, beloved father, 79, formerly of Drum Hill Rd. in Rexville, passed away Monday evening, July 14, 2025 at Highland Hospital in Rochester following a short illness.
Earl was a lifelong resident of the Canisteo Valley. He was born on January 2, 1946, in Hornell at the Bethesda Hospital, to the late Willard and Carrie (Woodworth) Parker. On September 2, 1966 in Dansville, he married the former Diane Carr who predeceased him on July 13, 2016.
He was a graduate of Hornell High School and had worked at the former SKF Facility in Hornell for 20 years before the plant closed and relocated. Earl worked at various odd jobs before landing a position at the former MK Plant, now Alstom, Co. After another 20 years of employment Earl retired from Alstom in 2009, as a quality control inspector. He enjoyed hunting, particularly archery hunting, was an avid reader of Western novels, worked and “tinkered” on cars and loved the “older” country music genre.

He is survived by two daughters Rebecca Parker of Sebastian, FL and Elizabeth Parker of Hornell, a son Adam Parker of North Port, FL, a sister Linda (Edward) Cole of Canandaigua and a brother Richard Parker of York.
In addition to his wife and parents, Earl was predeceased by a son Joshua Parker and a sister Florence Wise.
At Earl’s request there will be no calling hours or service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Arrangements are in care of the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home in Canisteo.
