Obituary of Elwyn D. Koon

Elwyn D. Koon, 90, of Franklin, NC and Lake Panasoffkee, FL, passed away on June 12, 2025 at Lecanto Hospice House in Florida. He was born on February 15, 1935 in Cameron Mills, NY the son of Edward and Ina Sackett Koon. Elwyn was a graduate of Addison Central School in 1953. He served in the US Army from 1955 to 1957, stationed in Germany. He retired from Westinghouse-Philips Lighting in Bath, NY with over 40 years of employment. Elwyn married Fanny Herrington Llewellyn on May 1, 1999. Elwyn is survived by a son, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Ina, his wife Fanny, his daughter Deborah Koon Rothleder and his siblings and their spouses, Elizabeth (James) Barker, Alia (Pete) Lewis, Evelyn (Jim) Schoner, Charlotte (Jerome) Niles, Marion (Burdette) Odson, Doris (Bill) Graham and William Koon. There will be a graveside memorial service at Townline Cemetery, Cameron Mills, for Elwyn and Fanny on Saturday, August 2 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Troy Preston officiating.
