Obituary of Diane Yvonne Knight

Diane Yvonne Knight, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away at her cherished Jasper home on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the age of 84 following a difficult battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Diane was born on March 16, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late George and Pauline (Brabant) Judd.
Throughout her life, Diane was known for her fierce devotion and love for her family and friends. She was always there to listen with a kind smile and unconditional love. Diane had an inner strength and confidence that she naturally gave to all who were close to her. She valued her relationship with her husband, children, and grandchildren above everything.
She attended school in Trenton, Michigan, where she graduated from Trenton High School. Following high school, Diane attended Eastern Michigan University, where she earned her associate's degree.
On November 25, 1961, she married her soul mate, Robert N. Knight. They made their home and raised a family together in Romulus. Michigan. Diane was employed as a cashier at Meijer's Thrifty Acres in Taylor, Michigan. She worked at Meijer’s from 1979 until 2007. Diane and Robert had purchased a second home in Jasper where Diane's mother had roots. In 2008, they made Jasper their permanent home.
Diane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who touched her family deeply with her unwavering love.
Diane is survived by her husband, Robert N. Knight of Jasper. She is also survived by her two children, son Martin and Jeri (Moore) Knight of Romulus, Michigan, along with her daughter, Kellie Knight of Waterloo, Iowa, and her twin granddaughters, Maya Knight and Paige Knight. She is survived by her grandchildren, John (Ricki Markey) Moore III of Michigan and Rhondah Moore-Williams (Robert Williams), her great-grandchildren, Dallas Williams, Dinver Williams, and Daytin Williams of Michigan. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter, Ileigh Knight of New York. Diane is survived by her brothers, Leon (MaryEllen) Judd of Michigan and Grant Judd of Illinois. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, including special nieces and nephews, Michael and Joni Knight, Randy and Laurie Knight, and Melva and Dennis Boike.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, George and Pauline Judd. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert N. Knight Jr., in 2012, her grandsons, Robert N. Knight in 2011 and Christopher Knight in 2016, and her brothers, George Judd and Russ Judd.
While we will miss her dearly, her love and legacy will remain forever in our hearts. Diane would want everyone to share a fond memory or photo so everyone can see the legacy of her love. Diane wanted everyone to share their favorite moments that she was privileged to experience with family and friends.
