CANISTEO: Glendon T. “Glen” Mullen, 48, of Ste. Rte. 248, passed away unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, August 31, 2025 at his home due to an anaphylactic shock.
Glen was born February 3, 1977 in Hornell to the late Gary R. and Patricia (Thomas) Mullen.
He was a graduate of Greenwood Central school class of 1995. After high school he was employed at the former Stephens Tree Farm in Hartsville for a short period of time, before landing a job with Lewis Garage Doors in Hornell where he worked for 20 plus years.
Glen was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt turkey and deer. When he wasn’t hunting, he was preparing his land with food plots and deer stands. He also enjoyed cheering for the Buffalo Bills, New York Yankees and was a fan of the Earnhardt family racing teams in NASCAR.
He is survived by two brothers, Gary (Rose) Mullen, Jr. and Gregory (BillieJo) Mullen of Canisteo a sister, Gessica Mullen (Jeremy Harwood) of Canisteo, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the Canisteo Valley.
Per his request there will be no calling hours or service. Final interment will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Golisano Children’s Hospital 601 Elmwood Ave. Rochester, NY 14642 or to the Steuben County chapter of SCOPE.
Arrangements are in care of the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home in Canisteo.
