Edie was not only a great neighbor, but also a great cook who made the best Strawberry-Rhubarb pie.
Once she found out that my late husband loved it, she always made him one every year. She was a kind and generous person who will be missed by the many lives of family and friends that she has touched. Prayers for the family and others who grieve her absence in this world, but know that she now joyfully lives with God.
May her spirit shine bright in heaven, God Bless.

I’m still having trouble wrapping my mind around the fact that Edie has passed. Edie was Harry and my little flower girl, when she was 4 years old. We shared the same birth date, 15 years apart. She was such a special, sweet girl. I remember helping her and Don with their home in Lakeland. Harry had already passed. We had a home in Sandpiper, as well.
My heart goes out to Don, their daughters, and grandchildren. We have the Lord’s assurance for her eternity.
With love and great sadness, Aunt Betty

So sorry to hear of Edith's untimely passing. Our parents shared an anniversary date and got together every year to have dinner and visit. Edith and I knew each other since elementary school and our families attended the Job's Corner's Baptist Church as children. I had the privildge to stay at the VanDelinder farm learning to gather the cows in the evening, milk the cows, 'hay it', from the field to the hay mow throughout the summer, and was taught to drive a tractor. Farmall was the tractor of choice here with Vandelinders
We graduated from HS and then we attended church together just a few years later at the Millerton Wesleyan Church where she and Donnie attended and Donnie sensed his call to ministry. For a time, motorcycle riding was a shared activity until, I believe, that Donnie broke his leg in an accident on a church group ride returning from Letchworth in the early 80's. We last all saw one another at our Williamson, 'Class of '71' 50th Anniversary visiting classmates where Donnie asked the Lord's blessing over our meal and our class celebration together.
We have this hope; we shall all meet again.
Blessings all to the Maynard /VanDelinder family.

It broke my heart to hear the news of Edie's passing. She was way too young! She was such a sweet and gentle lady. We had a lot of fun at choir practice! The good news is we all know without a shadow of a doubt that she is with her Savior now! My love and prayers to Pastor Don and family. Rest in peace, my friend.

Indeed, Edie was a great cook, I had several Sunday dinners and believe me if you left hungry it was your fault. I can say I never did. Also a very strong love for Jesus. Edid will be missed by all of her family and friends that are to many to mention.
