Three words among many that would describe my mother-in-law Alice would be kindness, humility and approachability. Although declining her last few years she always had a big smile for you when you greeted her. She was the type of person that made you feel good being around her. She was genuine, always listening, wanting to hear what you have to say. Always willing to give support. Never sounding disingenuous she made you feel valued. Qualities such as gentleness, goodness, and generosity are not easily attained. Even though she probably did not recognize this in herself this is who she was, and these traits made her strong. I hope that for those who knew her we can Honor and remember her by incorporating these traits into our own lives. We will miss you Mom.
