Obituary of Brennan M. Foster
Please share a memory of Brennan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Brennan Michael Foster, 23, of Addison, NY, passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2025.
Brennan grew up in Addison, where he was known for his vibrant energy, kind heart, and deep passion for soccer, as well as his involvement in wrestling and baseball. He graduated from Addison High School in 2020, where he made lasting memories both on and off the field.
Brennan proudly served in the United States Army, where he continued to exemplify courage, dedication, and a commitment to something greater than himself. PFC Brennan Foster served with Bravo Company of the 299th Brigade Engineer Battalion based out of Fort Carson, Colorado. At the time of his passing, his unit was serving on a rotation at Camp Humphreys in South Korea. Brennan formed a deep bond with his fellow soldiers — a brotherhood that meant the world to him. His time in the Army brought him not only lifelong friendships but also a sense of structure, purpose, and guidance that helped shape him into the strong and compassionate man he became. His strength of character and quiet resilience left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Those closest to Brennan will remember how deeply he loved — and how freely he showed it. He wasn’t afraid to express his emotions, offer a hug, or say “I love you.” He wore his heart on his sleeve, and his ability to make others feel seen, safe, and loved was one of his greatest gifts.
He is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Heather and Josh Price; his father, Michael Foster; siblings Darian (Alex) Raupers, Dawsan (Megan) Coykendall, and Emma Burnside; grandparents Beverly and Stanley Hunt; Harold and Nancy Foster; aunt Carrie Vargeson; uncle and cousin Tom and Elijah Hunt; niece and nephew Ivan and Nora Coykendall; and many extended family members in the Foster family.
Brennan shared an especially close bond with his beloved dog, Piper, who was his loyal companion through all of life’s highs and lows. Their connection was a constant source of comfort and joy, and Piper will forever be a part of Brennan’s story.
A true animal lover, Brennan was always drawn to dogs and believed deeply in the importance of caring for animals in need.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local SPCA or animal rescue organization in honor of Brennan’s love for animals, or to the ALS Association — a cause close to the family’s heart, in honor of Derek McManus.
Brennan’s life, though far too short, was full of love, laughter, and the spirit of someone who lived each moment with purpose. His memory will be cherished always by those who knew and loved him.
