Aimee was born in Hornell, NY on April 14, 1972, the daughter of Donald E. and Carol S. (Paddock) Whitehead. Aimee was born with Rett Syndrome, a disabling neurological disorder, and was cared for her entire life by loving and giving parents. She was a sweet and peaceful gift from God, and her daddy’s little girl. She will be deeply missed by all who encountered her.
Her mother Carol preceded Aimee in death on May 24, 2010.
Surviving are her father and stepmother: Donald and Deborah (Koehler) Whitehead of Avoca, NY; her brother, Aric (Jennifer) Whitehead of Cameron, NY; her stepbrothers and stepsister: Frank (Sara) Koehler of Avoca, NY, Carl Koehler of Hardwick, VT, Cassie (Kevin) Riekofski of Canisteo, NY and Kristopher (Audrey Marshall) Koehler of Colton, NY; nieces and nephews: Calieh (Chris) Dickson, Emily Nichols (Josh), EM3 Chase Knowles, Bailey Whitehead, and Paige Whitehead; grandnieces and grandnephews: Avery, Easten, Gracelyn, Steven, and Cole; uncles and aunts: Frank Paddock, David “Khim” (Danette) Whitehead, Daniel (Patricia) Whitehead, Randy (Terri) Whitehead, and Michelle (Whitehead) Nolder; her great-aunt Della (Campbell) Cronk; and many, many cousins.
Besides her mother Carol, Aimee was predeceased by her aunts Linda Whitehead and Connie Paddock, uncles Keith Paddock and Louis Paddock, and grandparents Donald and Betty (Cronk) Whitehead, Sr. and Lawrence and Mildred (Mack) Paddock.
Funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery. As Aimee and her family are Jasper natives, memorial contributions are suggested for the Jasper Ambulance Corp.
Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull, NY.
