Obituary of Michael S. Henry

Michael Henry went to be with the Lord at age 52 on Monday, November 10, 2025 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. Mike was well known for his love and sense of humor by the people he met on the way. Mike had been employed at several places, his favorite job was as a manager of the Rethreads Store in Bath, NY. He left quite a footprint with everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. Mike always kept a positive attitude, although it was difficult for him due to his health issues. His belief in the Lord got him through his struggles. His family and friends gave him the love and support he needed. His saying was, “God is in Control”. He loved going to different churches, no matter the faith of any he attended. He enjoyed being involved with events, no matter where it took him. He made the best of it and through challenging times, he endured. He will surely be missed by all his family and friends. Mike was predeceased by his father, Jerry, his uncle Ron, aunt Bev, his grandmother and grandfather. Surviving are his mother and step father, Mary and Phil Hall, his brother, Jerry (Crystal) Henry, aunt Linda, aunt Dorothy, aunt and uncle, Edward and Lucinda Sutton, aunt and uncle Roger and Anne Sutton, several cousins, close friends, Pastor Andy, Luther and Laurie, Jill, Peter and his church family. Rest in peace, until we meet again. Services will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 3 pm at the Community Church of Woodhull. An hour of visitation will be observed from 2 to 3 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations in Mike’s memory to any local animal shelter. Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull.
