Barbara Jean Mitchell, 79, of Main St. Coppers Plains, NY, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
Barb was born in Corning on July 9, 1946, a daughter of the late Robert Glen and Helen Elizabeth (Hamilton) Smith. She married Ernest Mitchell on September 2, 1972. Ernest preceded her in death on March 17, 2007. Barb later married James Ishmael on September 29, 2012. James died on November 30, 2024.
Barb had been a clerk in the clothing department of Painted Post Walmart.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Besides her husbands, Barb was predeceased by siblings, Glen Richard Smith, Shirley Steiner and Norma Kinney.
Burial will be made in Woodhull Cemetery.
Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull, NY.
