Obituary of Holly Jo Zemotel

Holly Jo (Szepansky) Zemotel, 51, of Corning NY passed away December 24, 2025, at the Robert Packer Hospital. Born September 11, 1974, to Charles and Sandra (Elwell) Szepansky, Holly grew up in Troupsburg NY and was a ’95 graduate from the Jasper-Troupsburg Central School. She loved animals and worked at the Bath animal shelter. From there, she worked at the St. James Hospital in Hornell NY and Ira Davenport in Bath NY. Holly was a thoughtful, loving, and caring soul. Holly is survived by her mother Sandra Szepansky of Troupsburg NY, twin sister Heather (Darrell) Ellsworth of Hornby NY, sisters Tanya (Bill) Fierle of East Aurora NY, Michelle (Mark) Guilfoil of Alexandria VA, Kris (Bret) Benton of Addison NY, aunt and uncle Sandra and Dan Schofield of Clarence NY, partner Carl Christensen and his family. She is also survived by cousins Kim (Dan) Kremer, Danielle (Lee) Folliard, Jenni Elwell, Laura (Stewart) Leathwood, Jeff (Kim) Elwell, Eric (Jessica) Elwell, Melissa Elwell (Tom), and Melinda Elwell (Matt), nieces Amanda (Rob) Kufel, Grace Fierle, Jenna Benton, Julia Benton, nephews Joseph Fierle, Logan Guilfoil, Seth Guilfoil, and great nieces and nephews Linden, Zoe, Charles, Callum, and Kufel. Holly was predeceased by her father Charles Szepansky, grandparents John and Barbara Szepansky, and Charles and Onolee Elwell. A time to remember Holly will be held on Saturday, January 24 from 12 - 1 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc., Funeral Home, 1607 Mainstreet, Woodhull, NY.
