Obituary of Jason P. Reisman

Jason Patrick Reisman - 44 of Troupsburg NY passed suddenly Thursday January 1, 2026. Jason was born on December 16, 1981 in Wellsville, NY to his loving parents James & LuAnne (Bliss) Reisman Jr. Jason was joined later by his sister Lindsey (Keith) Schneider and Justin (Shannon) Reisman. Jason moved with his family from Wellsville to Troupsburg NY at a young age. It was in Troupsburg where Jason met his chosen brothers Joe Heckman, Robert Baker and Don Hulbert. As a young man, Jason enjoyed driving and working on cars, and general shenanigans with his band of brothers. In his teenage years he captured the heart of his loving wife Joni (Flint) Reisman. Together they had two sons Andrew (Kennedy) Reisman and Dominic (Stephanie Boom) Reisman. His boys were the light of his life. Jason worked many jobs throughout his years, where he continued to collect his band of brothers. He gathered James Bolzan at Alstom, Brian Koester at DFA and Alex Brewer at his final place of employment with the Town of Troupsburg Highway Department. Jason’s love of travel and hunting carried him across the country. His love of family continued to grow with the birth of his grandchildren Davina and Daxton. Everyone who knew Jason knew those babies were his world. Jason was predeceased by his paternal grandparents James and Patricia Reisman as well as his maternal grandparents Roy and Eileen Bliss. Jason leaves behind several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. We were all so lucky to have been able to share his life. He had a way of taking people under his wing and collecting them like ducklings. He was truly a gift. Family and friends are welcome to join in saying their final farewell to Jason at H.P. Smith & Son Inc., Funeral Home in Woodhull NY on Monday, January 5, 2026 for calling hours from 12-2 and 4-6 with funeral directly after at 6PM. Jason believed in being comfortable, casual and your genuine self during these times. Please dress as you would if you were coming to visit the porch.
