Robert G. Hollister Sr., 77, of Addison NY, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre PA. Robert was born on March 8, 1948 to the late Howard and Lillian (Rosier) Hollister. On May 3, 1972, Robert married the love of his life Shirley Horton. He made his living working as an EMT, and was a long-time member of the Addison Fire Department, and at one time, volunteered with the Tuscarora Ambulance. Robert recently worked for Rural Metro as a Dispatcher. This work kept him busy, but in his spare time Robert enjoyed the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, and especially spending time with family. Surviving Robert is his wife Shirley of Addison, children Robert Hollister Jr. of Addison, Samuel (Annie) Hollister Sr. of Addison, brothers Richard (Lettie) Hollister of Buffalo, David Hollister of Addison, Ronald (Bobbie) Hollister of Illinois, sisters Donna (Rob) Ames of Addison, Sharon Barney of Corning along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brothers Donald, Harold, and sister Mary Alice. Friends and family may come to call at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc., Funeral Home, 1607 Mainstreet, Woodhull NY on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral will be held there on Friday, January 23 at 11 AM with Reverend Scott Towner officiating.
