Thomas W. Hargrave Sr., 77, of Campbell, passed away at home on Friday, February 27, 2026 following a brief illness.
Born in Batavia, NY on November 12, 1948, Tom was the son of the late Earl W. “Bud” Hargrave and Gladys Pursel Hargrave. He married Vicky Hargrave on December 31, 2006 in Woodhull. Vicky survives.
Tom was a longtime code enforcement officer for the Town of Campbell. He was an avid motorcyclist and was a member of the Sons of American Legion in Campbell.
Besides his wife Vicky at home, he is survived by his sons. Thomas Hargrave Jr. and Terry Hargrave, both of Addison, his step daughter, Lori Dewert of Savona, step son, Jason Smith of Campbell, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, siblings, Deborah Hoad of Cameron Mills, Terri (George) Farrand of Woodhull, Tammy (Randy) Dunn of Cameron Mills, Tina Hargrave (Wally Bohomey) of Cameron Mills and Timothy (Lisa) Hargrave of Cameron Mills along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents Bud and Gladys Hargrave, Tom was preceded in death by his infant son, Tadd Hargrave in 1993, brothers, James Hargrave in 1946, Tracy Hargrave in 1968 while serving in Vietnam and Todd Hargrave in 2002 and his sister Dawn Reagan in 2011.
Following Tom’s wishes, there will be no formal services.
Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull.
