Kenneth Allen of Bath, NY passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, at the Steuben Center in Bath at the age of 81.
He was born on August 11, 1944, in Corning, NY. He attended Jasper Central School and went on to work his entire career as a mechanic at Ingersoll/Dresser Rand in Painted Post for 43 years where he was known for his expertise and camaraderie. After retirement Kenneth and Carol lived in South Carolina for 12 years and moved back home to Bath in 2018.
Kenneth was a fun-loving man who will be remembered for wearing his many Harley shirts, taking rides on his Harley, and spending time with friends and family. Kenny’s smile filled every room he entered especially when sharing stories with friends over a Budweiser at his favorite bar. He was a loyal member of the VFW, American Legion, and Elks Club.
Kenneth is survived by his wife and love of his life for 48 years, Carol Allen, daughters Deborah Gerritz (Peter) and Michelle Harris (Clifford), sons Robert Allen (Melinna) and Donald Hastings (Louise), ten grandchildren, Siobhan, Ryon, Renisha, Jessica, Donald, Tori, Brandon, Sean, Nicole, Dreon, and four great grandchildren, his sisters Arlouene, Elma, Vicki, and brothers Donald, Jack, and Philip.
He was predeceased in death by his mother Isabel, sisters Dorothy, Floris, Arlene, Greta, and brothers, Charles, Joe, and Bill.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Wayne Legion, 4926 Bath Rd, Wayne, NY 14893, from 2:00pm – 6:00pm. All are welcome to attend and wear Harley attire.
Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, Woodhull NY.
