I’m going to miss your free spirit, endless humor and perfect laugh. Conversations with you were so easy. You were the most understanding and always gave the best advice. It’s different not having you around anymore. Life will truly never be the same, but I have peace in knowing you’re finally able to rest and will be waiting for me. I love you mostest, Grampa.

For those of you who knew him, you know he wasn’t a complicated man—but he was a good one. He believed in hard work, helping others, and getting the job done. If something broke, he’d fix it. If someone was in need, he showed up. He taught me so much—not just how to do things, but how to be.
Some of my favorite memories of him are the simple ones. Him outside working on one of our cars while cussing the whole time, him fiddling around in the garden or with some random project he wanted to show me, or just him, sitting with a beer, telling stories of his life and the things he’s learned. It’s those small things that I’ll carry most.
His country music played in the background of my life for the last 30 years. I didn’t like it at first—but it grew on me. And now, between the music and the way his voice filled a room, the quiet feels foreign… and I’ll admit, I’m not a fan of this newly found silence.
We’re all going to miss him in different ways—the advice, the help, the way he was just there. But I think the best way to honor him is to carry a little bit of him forward. Help someone when you can,
work hard, and be there for your people.
I love you, Dad (Grampa)

I truly cannot remember a time before grandpa pat was in my life, he may have not been blood but sometimes chosen family is even more special. He chose to be our grandfather and chose to be there every step of the way. Grandpa pat and grandma Karen’s home was my second home, I was with them for most summers and wouldn’t have it any other way. Life truly won’t be the same without him and even now I can hear him in the back of my mind telling me “it is what it is sweetie”. He was so excited to be a great grandpa and it breaks my heart that his grandchild won’t ever get to meet him but they will always know who their grandpa pat truly was, the most kinda hearted, caring, nurturing, gentle human being that I’ve had the privilege of knowing for ninety percent of my time here on this earth. I miss and love you more than you will ever know grandpa.

My father was an extraordinary individual who profoundly impacted my life, teaching me invaluable skills in contracting, including roofing, electrical work, and plumbing, and so much more. I am eternally grateful for the lessons you imparted, Dad, and I celebrate your life, knowing that your legacy lives on. Thank you for being a constant source of support and inspiration; you were the most remarkable man I have ever had the privilege of calling my father. I appreciate you more than words can express, and I will deeply miss you, yet I am thankful for the time we shared, and I think of you daily, feeling blessed to have had you as my father. You were a truly amazing individual, and I will always love and cherish you, Dad. Your loving son, Shawn.

Pat was always there. A man who would do anything for anyone. A warm smile and a witty joke was part of the package. I remember him trying to teach me "car stuff" when I was younger, that didn't stick. He became a steady in my life as I watched him help shape my village. You will be missed, dearly. More Than You Know

I love you grandpa. I’ll always remember how you used to pop your teeth out to mess with us kids. It was always funny to us and you used to have the biggest laugh with us. I’ll cherish all you’ve taught me over the years it being mechanical or botanical you taught me more than I would have ever known otherwise.

I met him as Pat and he became Dad. My children, nieces, and nephews were born knowing him as Grandpa, and adored him their whole life. I look back fondly at memories of him taking them for rides on his mower, and when he bought matching flannels to wear with his grandsons. I remember him getting the kids squirt guns and water balloons for summer then teaching them how water fights go down. He was there for the highs and lows. A pillar that did not move. Our constant. Over the last couple years, I’d come up weekly to visit because that’s what my schedule allowed. He’d always have a full dinner prepared by early afternoon because he knew I couldn’t stay late and worked the next day. He was thoughtful and intentional in everything he did. He will be dearly missed and forever loved.

Pat was a good neighbor and friend. Always there when I needed him. We always had a good laugh and sometimes a cold beer across the road at my garage. God bless you pat and God bless you buddy.
