Obituary of Linda L. Burakiewicz

Linda L. Burakiewicz, 73, of Westfield PA, passed away with loved ones by her side on April 29, 2026, at UPMC Williamsport. Linda was born on October 18, 1952, to the late James and Jane (Allen) Doman in Redwood City California. Growing up in Sunnyvale, she spent most of her life in California. She worked for Hewlett-Packard in Palo for many years before working as a wanted ad specialist for a local newspaper. Linda relocated to Montgomery County Pennsylvania along with her boyfriend Chris in 2008. After retirement in 2014, they made their permanent home in Westfield Pennsylvania. Linda was very active in volunteering and giving donations to various pet rescue shelters in the Twin Tiers area. She was an avid reader, a huge NASCAR fan, enjoyed going on local road trips, and dining at her favorite restaurant, La Cabana in Hornell New York. She will be greatly missed by all close to her. Surviving Linda is her sister Sharon Glassett of Burney CA, partner Chris Erwood of Westfield PA, and very close friends Adam Atwell, Darleen English, Don Goldblatt, and Lynn Zemel. Linda is predeceased by her parents. Friends may gather for a time of visitation at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc., Funeral Home, 1607 Main Street, Woodhull NY, on Thursday, May 7 from noon until 2:00 PM with a funeral to follow there at 2:00PM with Reverend Brian Diffenbacher officiating. Interment will be in the Woodhull Cemetery.
