Betty Symonds, 53, of Addison NY, passed away on May 14, 2026, at her home with her loved ones by her side.
Betty was born on September 5, 1972, to the late William and Helen (Houghtalen) Everts. She was a dedicated and loving grandmother, especially to her grandson Wyatt who she raised as her own.
Surviving Betty is her longtime partner Robert Miles of Woodhull NY, Mother Helen Houghtalen of Avoca NY, sisters Ronda Sullivan of Woodhull NY, Brenda (Edward) Baker of Woodhull NY, Bobbie Jo (Jeffery) Duell of Woodhull NY, brothers William C. (Amanda) Everts Jr. and Andrew Everts both of Avoca NY, daughter Rose (Mike) O’Day of Campbell NY, step children Robin (Scott) Adams of Hornell NY, Elizabeth (Royce) Nobel of Addison NY, Stephanie Decker of Woodhull NY, Caleb (Angel Fletcher) Miles of Oneonta NY, grandchildren Wyatt, Aurora, Autumn, and Mike.
Betty is predeceased by her father William Everts, sisters Billie Jo Everts, Donna Everts and brother-in-law Mike Sullivan.
According to Betty’s wishes there will be no services.
Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, Woodhull NY.
