ALFRED STATION: Juanita (Sanford) Barone Dietrich, 56, of Ste. Rte. 21 passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, June 10, 2018 in Hornell.

Juanita was born November 13, 1961, to the late George and Pauline (Ebner) Ritenburg, Sanford. On May 25, 2018 she married John Dietrich, Jr. at their home in Alfred Station.

Juanita was a graduate of Hornell High school class of 1979. She furthered her education at Monroe Community College earning an associate’s degree in Graphic Design. For a number of years, she worked in the corporate world eventually stepping out on her own and living her own dream of operating her own art studio. She founded “Juanita Barone Design” and recently opened Studio 21 in Alfred Station, and was very successful with her art and designs within the surrounding area.

Ever the bubbly and outgoing individual she was known to be, Juanita loved to share her experiences and her art with others. She was always willing to learn new things, engage in a good conversation with someone, thus rounding out her own life with those she met.

She loved the company of her family and friends, whether at home, camping, gardening, antiquing or just a quiet time alone. Juanita was recently privileged to be a new member of the Allegany Artisans of which she was very proud.
