Obituary of Timothy M. Galusha

BIG FLATS/HORNELL: Timothy M. “Tim” Galusha, 29, of Big Flats formerly of Hornell, passed away unexpectedly October 7, 2023 in the town of Big Flats, as a result of injuries sustained in an accident. Tim was born December 22, 1993 in Berwick PA to Michael and Jennifer (Creasy) Galusha who survive and reside in Hornell. He worked as a cook at Moe’s Southwest Grill in Horseheads for a number of years before acquiring the position of assistant manager. Tim was an avid sports fan who favored the Detroit Lions of the NFL, the Detroit Tigers of MLB and the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA. Other interests included cooking, hunting, fishing and playing softball. He was very open minded and was loved and appreciated by all of those who knew him and called him friend. In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by his siblings, Brittany (Tyler) Smith of Lynchburg, VA, Tyler Galusha of Big Flats, Christopher (Makenna) Galusha of Bolivar and Kellie Galusha (Brydon Nunn) of Mt. Morris, maternal grandmother Deborah Collins of Hornell, niece Addison Smith, nephews Asher Smith and Leevi Nunn and best friends Cody Miller and Ashleigh Minder, their children Brantley and Logan Miller and Izabella Minder, all of Almond and Timothy Lambert of Missouri and numerous friends from all over. Tim was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, William and Patricia Galusha and maternal grandfather Larry Creasy. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday, October, 20th at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home in Canisteo, where a memorial service and Celebration of Life will take place immediately following calling hours at 7:00 pm.
