Obituary of James H. Williams

James H. Williams, 82, of Woodhull, NY, passed away at home on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born in Troupsburg, NY on June 5, 1941, the son of the late Levi H. and Mary (Jones) Williams. Raised in Troupsburg, Jim married the former Delbertdeen L. White on June 10, 1962 at the Troupsburg United Methodist Church. She survives. Jim worked most of his life on dairy farms, first, as a young man, working for Rodney Plaisted in Troupsburg and eventually being employed by Dininny’s Dairy in Addison for 35 years. Between his two farm jobs, Jim and Delbertdeen lived in Rochester where he was employed by the Robeson Coffee Pot Co. Jim enjoyed the outdoors, whether it being deer hunting, playing baseball with the Addison Town Team or faithfully attending stock car racing at Woodhull Raceway. Jim found his greatest pleasure in spending time with his very close knit family. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Delbertdeen Williams of Woodhull, his children, Allen (Karen) Williams of Addison, Eric (Esther) Williams of Coudersport, PA, Ricky (Angela) Williams of Rexville, Kim Williams of Woodhull and Kevin Williams of Woodhull, his grandchildren, Mike (Kristin) Williams, Chris Williams, Hannah Williams (Brian Dibble), James Williams, Hayden Williams and Kylen Williams, his great grandchildren, Wallace Haynes and Rylan Dibble, his sister-in-Law, Evelyn Trumbul of Woodhull and several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Levi & Mary Williams, his brothers, Levi Williams Jr., Frederick Robert Williams and Charles Williams and his great granddaughter, Zoey R. Haynes. Friends may call on Monday, October 23 from 12 noon to 2 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow there at 2 pm. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery.
