Obituary of Lewis H. Strait

Lewis Strait Sr., 65, of Caledonia Road, Piffard, NY, passed away quite suddenly at home on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012. Born in Corning, NY on August 29, 1947, Lewis was the son of the late Willard B. and Ila A. Brewer Strait. He retired as an assembler from J.L.G. in McConnellsburg, Pa. He is survived by his sons and daughters in law, Lewis H. and Crystal Strait Jr. and Wayne and Angie Strait, both of Newville, Pa. and Patrick Strait, 6 grandchildren, his sisters, Yvonne Bougton of Mt. Morris, Marlene (Richard) Barnhardt of Piffard, and Debra (Samuel) Provino of Mt. Morris, his brother with whom he made his home, William Strait of Piffard and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his infant brother Stanley. Friends may call on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 from Noon to 2 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow there at 2 PM with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating. Burial will be made in Hedgesville Cemetery, Town of Woodhull.
