Woodhull, NY // Space-Calkins, Patricia Ann, age 54 of Woodhull, N.Y. passed away at home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Pat was born August 3, 1966 in Wellsboro, PA, the daughter of Guy E. & Marieda A (Kibbe) Space. Pat married the love of her life, her soul mate and best friend, Garry F. Calkins on August 27, 2011, at their pond in Woodhull N.Y, after being together for the previous 7 years. She is survived by her husband Garry, daughters Cheyenne Autumn (Calum) Lewis of Campbell, NY, Shannon Takota O’Brian (Dustin Krisher) of Corning, NY, Sabrina (Aaron) Sutryk of Savona, NY, Kristen (Josh) Waight of Lindley, NY, and Jenna Donaldson of Woodhull, NY. Also grandchildren, Asa Lewis, Elena Arlene Brown, Matthew George & Nina Dixie Donaldson, Titan James Lowe, Ella GraceSutryk, Hannah Faith Sutryk, Kaylee Sutyrk, Evander Waight and Bennett Waight. Pat is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law: Carl Space (Wendy Mettler), Dick (Dee) Space, John (Annette) Space and Bill Space (Leah Colvin), sister Ann White (Alan Wheeler) and sister-in-law Brenda Space, and very special friend Carol Barden. Pat was predeceased by her father, Guy Space, mother, Marieda, brother Garfield Space, brother-in-law Vern White, father-in-law Roy Calkins and mother-in-law Betty Calkins. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as brothers & sisters-in-law: Danny & Janie Calkins, Lanny & Mary Calkins, David Calkins, Cevel (Larry Enderle) Thompson, Colene & Dan Hulbert and Kerry Calkins. Pat graduated from Jasper Central School in Jasper, NY in 1984 and Corning Community College in 2000 with an AAS degree in Opto-Electronics Technology. She retired from Corning Inc. with 30 years of service. She is a current member of the Campbell Legion, and past member of the Corning Fish & Game Club. Pat enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, gardening and anything outdoors. One of her favorite past times was rummaging with her partner-in-crime, Carol Barden and hunting for treasures. Her very favorite thing was to spend time with her husband Garry and all of her children and grandchildren. Friends may call on Sunday, February 21 from 1-3 and 6-8 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be held there on Monday at 11 am with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating.
