HORNELL/LIVERPOOL: Marlene E. Peeso, 67, formerly of Hornell, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, May 26, 2021 at her home in Liverpool. Marlene was born July 7, 1953 in Hornell to the late Leslie and Marian (Williams) Mead, Sr. On February 19, 1990 in Hornell, she married Emanon Peeso who survives and resides in Liverpool. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, who’s husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. Marlene was a warm and caring individual who loved her husband more than words could say and was loved by so many people in return. Besides being a wife, mother and grandmother, Marlene enjoyed the company of her family and friends and loved to crochet and do crafts. She is survived by her husband Emanon Peeso of Liverpool, 7 children, Phillip (Audra) Hurlburt, Jr. of Hornell, Amy (Scott) Burdick of Oswego, Angelo-Homer (Becky/Talana) Hurlburt Sr. of Hornell, Jamie (James) Abbott of Hornell, Emberley (Steve) Milan of Wolcott, Joseph (Sherry/Alyssa) Peeso of Newark and Anthony Peeso of Syracuse, 27 Grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, four sisters, Linda (Richard) Burchard and Marie Edwards of Hornell, Mabel (Sulley) Morabito of Chesapeake, Va. and Earldena Prouty of Hornell. Two brothers, Merle (Shirley) Mead and Lawrence (Colette) Mead, sister-in-law Candace Mead all of Hornell and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marlene was predeceased by a brother Leslie Mead, Jr. and brother-in-law William Edwards. The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 6-8 pm Saturday, May 29th at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home in Canisteo. A private family memorial service will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Marlene’s name may be made to American Cancer Society.
