HORNELL: Daniel J. “Danny” Hicks, 59, of Duane Street passed away peacefully Wednesday morning June 30, 2021 at his home after an extended illness.
Danny was born November 8, 1961 in North Hornell to the late Joseph D. and Barbara A. (Roosa) Hicks.
Danny was a life-long resident of Hornell, and was an active member of the ARC of Steuben in Bath. He enjoyed watching Star Trek episodes, Star Wars movies, a good scary movie and a good Italian dinner, especially pasta.
He is survived by three brothers, Michael (Elaine) Hicks of Hector, Timothy (Yvonne) Hicks of Clark Mills and Joseph Hicks of Hornell. An aunt, Delores (Robert) Gerhart of Bath, three uncles, Carl Dan (Donna) Roosa of Magnolia, DE., Donald (Betty) Merring of Canisteo and Michael O’Brien of Canisteo, nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no public calling hours or service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Hornell Rural Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Danny’s name may be made to the ARC of Steuben, One Arc Way, Bath, N.Y. 14810.
