Obituary of Lillian A. Brewer

Lillian A. Brewer, 85, of Canisteo, NY, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester following a brief illness.
Born at home in Woodhull, NY on December 16, 1935, Lillian was the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Julia C. Stiles Brewer. She attended Woodhull High School.
Lillian made her home in Canisteo and retired from Stern & Stern Textiles in Hornell in December 2000 after 33 years of active employment there. She enjoyed crocheting and demonstrated a true green thumb with raising a wide variety of house and garden plants.
Surviving are Lillian’s sisters, Sarah Stratton of Bath, Vera (Donald) Lucas of St. Joseph’s, Missouri, Marie Liter of Leicester, NY, Onalee McFall of Kansas City, Missouri, Bernice Brewer of Woodhull and June Brewer of Woodhull, brothers, Daniel (Linda) Brewer of Oregon, David (Bonnie) Brewer of Addison and Mervin (Lee) Brewer of Woodhull along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Eugene Brewer, Kenneth Brewer and Jay Brewer and sisters, Anna Atkins and Agnes Learn.
Following Lillian’s wishes, there will be no public services. She will be buried with her parents in Woodhull Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull, NY.
