Obituary of Cora E. Reigle

Cora Ella Reigle, 90, of Painted Post, formerly of Addison, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Corning Hospital. Born in Westfield, Pa on November 27, 1930, Cora was the daughter of the late Warren and Mary Howland Stafford. She was a 1949 graduate of Little Marsh High School. Cora worked as a machine operator for Ingersoll Rand and later Dresser Rand in Painted Post where she retired with 21 years of active service. She was a member of the Addison Eagles Club and was a member of TOPS in Woodhull. She enjoyed casino visits with members of the family as well as playing bingo and any type of card game. She was married to Russell C. Reigle who preceded her in death on January 21, 2001. Cora is survived by her significant other, Bob Casbeer, her children, Jerry Vargeson, Gwendolyn Crawford, Sherry McCaslin, Bev (Stanley) Hunt, Elsie McFall, David (Joanne) Vargeson, Glenn (Brenda) Vargeson, Patty (Rick) Herrington, Steven (Lisa) Vargeson, Margie Pavlick (Cal Eccleston), Timothy (Dawn) Vargeson and Clayton (Ann) Vargeson, Bob’s son, Terry (Faith) Casbeer, 34 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren with another on the way, her sister, Betty Gleason her sister in law, Konnie Stafford and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Russ, Cora was predeceased by her parents, Warren and Mary Stafford, her grandchildren, Cindy Crawford and Kiri Vargeson, daughter in law, Janet Vargeson, son in law, Ken Crawford, brothers, Merrill, Warren and Charles Stafford and sisters, Iva Main, Laura Shockney, Ethel Baker and Barbara Mader. Friends and family may call on Thursday, August 12 from 1-3 and again from 6-8 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow visitation at 8 pm with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery.
