Obituary of Ronald Owen Canouse

Ronald Owen Canouse, 61, of 1258 Stead School Road, Painted Post (Town of Tuscarora), died at home on Thursday, October 6, 2011 following a short illness. Born in Berwick, Pa. on March 30, 1950, he was the son of Fredrick Reuben and Agnes Susanna Rinert Canouse. He married the former Mary Jane Switzer, who survives. Ron was employed at the Corning Area YMCA as a maintenance man. Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane Canouse at home, his son, Jacob (Bobbi Jean) Canouse of Jonestown, Pa., his daughter, Ashley Canouse at home, his brothers, Harvey Canouse, Doyle Canouse and Fred Canouse, his sisters, Margaret McAllister and Darlas Sitler and 2 grandchildren. His sister Doris preceded him in death. It was Ron's wishes that there be no services. Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home in Woodhull.
