Obituary of Janeann M. Wheaton

Janeann M. Wheaton, 73, of Grove St. Addison, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Batavia Health Care Center in Batavia, NY. Born in Rochester on August 22, 1939, she was the daughter of Ralph and Grace Dunn Lavier. Janeann was a graduate of Nazareth Academy in Rochester. She worked as a clerk for Sibleys in Rochester for 17 years. On Sept. 4, 1982, she and Clinton F. Wheaton were married. Clinton predeceased her on Oct. 29, 2006. Janeann was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Stephanie Motzer, her brother, Gene Lavier and her sister, Marian Curtis. After moving to Addison, she was employed for several years as a sales clerk at Addison Furniture and Appliance. Janeann was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Addison. She and Clinton created a large family together with their marriage and Janeann loved them all dearly and thought of everyone as her own. This was a huge gift to the entire family. Surviving are her daughters, Brenda Clarke (Albert McCoy) of Alexander, NY, Karen (James) Collalto and Colleen Clarke and her son, Robert Clarke, all of Rochester, her step children, Debra Jacobs of Canisteo, Randy (Patrice) Wheaton of Harrison Valley, Pa, Brian Wheaton of Woodhull, Douglas Wheaton (Rosemary Smith) of Addison, Susan (Rick) Reigh of Harrison Valley, Shane (Tammy) Wheaton of Woodhull and Pamila (Mark) Johnson of Little Marsh, Pa. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends may call on Monday, Nov. 5 from 7-9 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be conducted there on Tuesday at 2:00 PM with Pastor Rev. Peter Marr officiating. Burial will follow in North Bingham Cemetery, North Bingham, Pa. Memorials may be made to the Organization of Autism Research, 200 North 14th St. Suite 710, Arlington, VA 22201.
