Obituary of Karen Lee Tucker

Karen Lee Tucker, 45, of Lewis Road, Addison, NY, passed away at home very suddenly on Saturday evening, September 4, 2021. Born in Corning, NY on March 28, 1976, Karen was the daughter of the late LaVerne C. and Sandra Lee (Johnson) Carson Jr. Raised in Corning, she was a 1994 graduate of Corning- Painted Post West High School. She married William C. Tucker, who survives. Karen was employed by Artistic Greeting in Elmira prior to working for Absolut Care of Three Rivers in Gang Mills where she trained to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Karen always enjoyed caring for others so this job was an ideal match for her. She recently took a job with the Addison School District as a bus monitor. Karen provided in home health care for others, often putting the care and well being of others before her own. This characteristic carried through in her everyday life, always providing any help she could to any that needed it. Karen is survived by her husband, William Tucker of Addison, her children, Alexis Tucker and William Tucker Jr., both at home, her aunt, LouAnn Johnson (Rick Button) of Corning, several cousins including Jeffrey (Yjan) Johnson of Corning and Lennie (Candice) Johnson of Myrtle Beach, SC, special nieces and nephews, Josiah Buckley, Jaydn Seaman and Trenton Seaman, Keri & Todd Hunter, Myles Hunter, Kooper Hunter, Lochlan Hunter and Wade Davis, Billy’s step mother, Micheline Seeley of Addison and his siblings, Beth Warren, Brad Tucker, Brandie Sherman, Bryan Tucker, Brett Tucker and Berry Tucker along with nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, LaVerne and Sandy Carson, her father in law, Larry Tucker and sister in law, Barbara Tucker Freligh. A memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull, NY.
