CANISTEO: Randy D. Dennis, 62, of Cty. Rte. 21 passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at Strong memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Randy was born November 25, 1958 in Hornell, to the late Duane F. and June R. (Dieter) Dennis. On November 26, 1977 he married the former Jane L. Bouton who survives and resides in the town of Canisteo.
Randy was a life-long resident of the Canisteo Valley where he worked and owned the Dennis Farm on Cty. Rte. 21 (Talbot Creek Road).
Randy worked at Crowley Foods in Arkport for 13 years. Randy's love for farming carried him throughout his life. He started the Youth Wrestling program at Jasper-Troupsburg and continued coaching for several years. He enjoyed going to auctions and socializing with people.
He was an avid outdoors man who liked to garden and was passionate about hunting and fishing. He loved watching his grandkids play sports and treasured the holiday season and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Jane, Randy is survived by a daughter Amy (Donald) Draper of Woodhull, two sons, Gary Dennis of Jasper and Andrew (Teresa) Dennis of Canisteo, 10 grandchildren: Morgan Dennis, Dylan Draper, Reese Draper, Ethan Draper, Isabell Dennis, Domonic Dennis, Garett Dennis Daisy Dennis, Carter Dennis and Tyler Dennis. He is also survived by a brother Philip (Hope) Dennis of Cameron, two sisters, Nancy (Bill) Hadley of Troupsburg and Lisa (Frank) Pilling of Roseville, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
Randy was predeceased by a granddaughter Kalie Dennis, three brothers, Loren, Donald and Gary Dennis and a sister Rosemarie Payne.
There will be no public calling or services. A private family gathering will be at their convenience.
