Obituary of Carolyn R. Treat

Carolyn R. Treat, 75, of Cameron Mills, NY, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the home of her son and daughter in law in Bath after failing health. Born in Elkland, PA on August 23, 1946, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Walter and Bernice Sellard Clark. She attended Addison Central School. On February 6, 1965, Carolyn and Ronald D. Treat were married at the Lindley Methodist Church. Ron preceded her in death on March 9, 2018. Besides being a homemaker and dedicated wife and mother, Carolyn had worked at the Marion Rohr Co. in Hornell, the Lodge on the Green in Painted Post and on Dickson’s Farm in Cameron Mills where Ron had also been employed for many years. Surviving are her sons and daughters in law, Richard and Donna Treat of Bath, Carl and Michelle Treat of Bath and Jason Treat of Savona, 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, her siblings, Harvey (Bessie) Clark of Addison, Loretta (Larry) Swain of Albion, NY, Barbara (Leslie) Taber of Albion and Edward (Melissa) Clark, her sister in law, Deanna Clark, her sister in law and brother in law, Darlene and Donald Clark and many nieces and nephews. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Bernice Clark, Ron’s parents, Carl and Nellie Treat, her brothers, William (Sharon) Clark and John Clark, her sister, Elizabeth (Stanley) Casson, her sister in law and brothers in law, Marge and Lynn Erickson, Pete Treat, Edwin Treat and Carl Treat Jr. A graveside service will be held in Woodhull Cemetery on Sunday, December 5 at 2 PM. Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Woodhull, NY.
