Obituary of Alice R. Sullivan

Alice R. Sullivan, 69, of Addison, NY, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Corning Hospital following declining health. Born in Corning on August 5, 1952, Alice was the daughter of the late William and Edith Rice Sullivan. Raised in Addison, she was a graduate of Addison Central School. Alice retired from Metmora Plastics in Elkland, PA where she worked for many years, retiring from the Shipping & Receiving Department there. An avid sports fan, Alice loved the New York Yankees and was a huge fan of Tony Stewart of NASCAR. She loved to travel, enjoying trips to Lancaster County, PA and trips out west. Alice is survived by her siblings, William (Barb) Sullivan of Addison, Charles (Emmaline) Sullivan of Cameron, Frank (Nancy) Sullivan of Addison and Raymond Sullivan of Addison, her longtime friend, Larae Smith of Addison along with many nieces and nephews including special niece Rose Demonstoy of Addison. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edith Sullivan, brothers, Leon Sullivan, Robert Sullivan, Clarence Sullivan and Richard Sullivan and sisters, Esther Schoneweis, Ruth McQuown and Margaret Wright. Friends may call on Thursday, December 30 from 1 to 3 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will follow there at 3 pm with Rev. Scott Towner officiating. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
