John K. “Butch” Strawser, 74, of Coopers Plains, NY, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Corning Hospital.
John was born in Corning, NY on January 13, 1948 to John G. Strawser and Gladys M. Pritchard Strawser.
He was a graduate of Bradford Central School and retired after many years service from Ingersoll Rand Co. and Dresser Rand in Painted Post. John had the gift of gab and loved to visit with everyone.
Surviving are his sisters, Pamela Travis (Richard) of Addison, Sandra Owens (Ken Hotaling) of Addison and Phyllis Zuraski of Woodbridge, VA and nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his parents, his wife Sonya Duvall Strawser in 2010 and brother-in-law, Joseph Zuraski in 2022.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30 at 3:30 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Rev. Troy Preston will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery.
