Obituary of Shirley M. O'Brian

Shirley M. O’Brian, 77, of Woodhull was born on August 29, 1944 in Corning and passed away at home on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at home. She attended Corning Painted Post schools. She had belonged to the Home-Makers Club as well as the Secretarial Club. Shirley was married to her beloved husband, Maynard O’Brian who has predeceased her. Shirley is survived by her children, Ronald (Clarissa) Knowles, Laureen Scouten (Tom Colvin), Scott (Mia) O’Brian and Chris Robenolt, several grandchildren including her loving grandsons, Nathaniel Watkins, Daniel and Thomas Colvin and John O’Brian (who is deeply appreciated for his care giving). Her special niece, Jennifer Smith Giles, niece Tina Wheeler, special nephew, Eldon Smith Jr., her loving sister, Jean Harris and sister-in-law, Carolyn Smith. Shirley was also predeceased by her sister Lucille (Francis) Wheeler and brothers Howard Kimble and Eldon L. Smith. Her parents were Chester D. and Helen M. (Copp) Smith of Coopers Plains A sincere special note of appreciation goes to Grayson Farrand Jr., his parents, Grayson Sr. and Arlene Farrand and his son, Zachery Farrand for their care giving and friendship. Funeral arrangements are by H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home of Woodhull. Memorial donations are suggested to the Woodhull Fire Dept. and Ambulance Corp.
